Description

For the 2010 World Cup, we created a Pick‘em game that was part of our first endeavor in creating a global game. The game was offered in 10 different countries and the design had to work in multiple languages including double-byte Asian characters.

Description

Drafting the players for each season‘s fantasy team is a fun and social activity. In 2010, we decided to add Auction style drafting to our games. The challenge was fitting a large amount of interface for researching, choosing players, bidding, and chatting in an intuitive layout. The app was created in Flex in-house and I leveraged animation as much as possible to create an engaging, game-like experience.

In an effort to better organize and present Yahoo! Sports‘ video content we designed the Media Hub in 2009. The goal was to create a theater-like experience where the user could smoothly navigate across categories in-line without disrupting a currently playing video.

Yahoo! Sports UFC Pay-Per-View

Description

In 2008, Yahoo! Sports worked with the UFC to serve as its online provider for their pay-per-view fights. They needed a product that showed the event information, preview video, the live event, and archived video of the fights afterwards. This one-pager was designed to handle all of those states by seamlessly changing according to event status.
